I would give ZERO stars if I had the option! We have had RCN for over 7 years and their service has gone down considerably!! I reached out to them over a year ago due to the horrible service we had. . . . The service is super slow and horrible. . . . You are better off getting a different provider for your internet and/or tv. RCN has too many upcharges for less than worthy service. Totally not worth the price!!

TERRIBLE Service

RCN treats their customers terribly. I received my Jan 2020 bill and it included a 20% increase. I called RCN twice to complain and let them know I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. They did absolutely NOTHING to reduce my bill. First of all, a 20% increase is absurd. Second of all, they don't provide any advance notice. They hope to "slip" the increase through without the customer noticing. RCN is not reputable.

TRICK New Customers

In their calls they say how they value the customer, not true I've had RCN since they came into the Lehigh Valley. They trick new customers with all the advertising and low cost. Yeah to reel them in oh no contract but a year later they slam you with an increase that's ridiculous. The customer service rep are rude and don't listen and do nothing to satisfy their long term customers. No Type of customer service.

OFF THE CHART Bills

I'm not here to talk about the quality of internet service cuz due to the price they should provide as we expected. As a lot said, the bill goes up time by time without informing the customers and it's off the chart! If I can live with these all, there's one thing that really frustrates me. I cancel the service last month due to moving and I made a call to their customer service. The lady told me the last bill of $73 will be refunded to me in full. Yet I waited about a month it's not refunded at all.

HORRIBLE

I had RCN Internet & Cable in Chicago for a while. They were horrible. Outages, bad signals, etc. . . . Careful people. This company has an inferior product, is not honest and they don't care about their customers.
